"THE STORY"

(Quinn)
“Hi you are Tim right, Timothy” Quinn said to a guy she came across just leaving a building
“Do I know you?”
“Not actually, I just need a quick chat with you if you don’t mind please. I’m not gonna take your time” Quinn’s eyes begged for approved
“Alright I have five minutes” Timothy didn’t look quite interested
“Thanks. Mmm… it’s about Jeremy. I guess you guys are friends. People say they notice you guys around most time…”
“Is there a problem with that?”
Quinn grew furious with his tone of response towards her. She felt like snapping at him but she knew she wouldn’t get her information if she did.
She took a deep breath and continued
“Of course not. You should know he was in a relationship with Malia before and…”
“Wait, this has to do with Malia…I am not interested in this” he snapped
“Common, what’s so bad about her that you and Jeremy always behave like she is the worst person on earth or something?”
Tim walked away but Malia ran towards him standing in his front
“No, no way. You are not going to leave me hanging like every other person. I need something from you, and you are gonna help me. So if you want to get rid of me quickly, pleasee, just let exhaust the five minutes you gave me”
Tim saw the fierceness in her eyes and he was bewildered. He had a mixed feeling for amazement and curiosity but at this point he had mellowed down to give her a response
He exhaled the air in exasperation “look since they broke up, Jeremy has shown this lackadaisical attitude…”
“Lacka what now!”
Quinn was stunned when the confused word bounced on her head. She managed not to burst out her confusion but used her inner voice
“…He doesn’t even want to hear her name. Melancholically enough, it almost led to a fight with a guy…”
Although Quinn knew the next elongated word he said but thanks to the word ‘fight with a guy’ she didn’t feel left out of the conversation
“What!” she exclaimed with all seriousness
“The lad kept on ranting about Malia’s absence around Jeremy every day. Everyone in class knows him as a farceur and regardless of the countless times Jeremy had warned him to lay off the topic, he didn’t listen but kept on his reiterate and from nowhere, Jeremy fulminated and landed him a punch. Since then not even I can bring up Malia’s name…”
Quinn stared at him bluntly without a word
Tim continued either ways “…Jeremy practically rescinds Malia”
When it seemed to Quinn he was done, she decided to speak. She knew she couldn’t talk about what he just said until she had a dictionary so she decided to move to another question
“So why are they not together anymore?”
“For a forsooth I don’t know…”
Quinn already regretted asking him another question but luckily her recorder worked perfectly. She decided to nod at every instance to show she wasn’t a dumb skull
He continued “but it seems she did something unspeakable of course, that would accord to the surcease of such stupendous relationship”
Quinn wasn’t in his world any more. She didn’t just understand why he couldn’t concise his words
“Hellooo…” Tim tried to get her attention back to him
“Hmm! Yeah yeah forsooth” Quinn snapped back
“Yes it seems you do concur. So any more questions”
“Concur?! Concur to what! I have no freaking idea of what forsooth means!” Quinn spoke loudly in her head
“Oh no! I would have love to, but the five minutes you gave me has long expired. I don’t want to waste your time”
“Oh yes, you are veracious, maybe some other time if you have more questions”
“NO!” Quinn caution her tempo “I mean I won’t have the time nor questions, but my colleagues would if there is any. Thank you very much”
“but listen” Tim seemed serious “I am not sure you should get involved with this, the whole school knows about your page, and have been following it, it might surprise you at the end that this isn’t a love story you should get entangled with. I advise you just let it go. That’s what Efua and I did…”
Quinn became baffled for two reason but she soliloquize the one that baffled her more…”did he just speak to me in an understandable language?”
