THE STORY 2

 â€˜SLAP!!!’

“Don’t you dare touch me?”


Quinn’s mouth pouted in disbelief with her palm on her slapped cheek. She painfully gulped down her saliva that tasted sour in her mouth as a result of the brutal slap from Elizabeth.


Quinn slowly dragged her gaze to Eli whose eyes were burning with fury. Tony who had finally gotten over the shock of the sight he just beheld along with Tim and Alex, beckoned on Eli


“Lil!”

“Don’t you dare call me!” Eli responded provoked “how could you?” she  turned her gaze back to Quinn “I thought you were my friend…”


Quinn couldn’t respond a word still standing in a shock state.


“And you” Eli turned back to Tony “if anyone could ever tell me you were capable of hurting me this much, I would never believe” a tear drop streamed down “what does this mean to you” Eli raised her hand exposing the golden ring on her middle finger “how could you give me this and stab me in the back…”


“Lil I am sorry. it’s not what you think. I love you and I would never do anything to hurt you believe me” Tony’s tears took its place on his face line by line


“DON’T YOU DARE LIE TO ME! I saw everything. At the time I needed you the most in my life, you wandered off with MY BEST FRIEND!” Eli forcefully took the ring off her finger and threw it over to Tony in anger 

“No…no no no no Lil you can’t do this” Tony went on his kneels picking up the ring and looking towards her. “Lil please don’t do this. Its not what you think I swear, I would never do anything to hurt you, just please let me explain.”


“Tony I believed you for over two years, but I guess I wasn’t enough. I thought you actually saw a future with me but I was a big fool accepting your proposal” Eli turned back to Quinn who was still stiffed about the whole scenario “I guess you are happy right, you finally have him. You couldn’t just find someone else, could you! You ignored all the guys that came your way, you made yourself blind that you couldn’t see Timothy has feelings for you all because of your greediness and envy.”


Timothy was shocked at Eli’s outburst. The fact that she knew both surprised and worried him. Alex was utterly confused at the scenario going on before him. When Alex heard about Tim’s feelings for Quinn, he turned his gaze to Tim for a minute wondering who this mysterious guy was. Just few weeks he was out of sight, a lot had already happened in the Centre

Quinn’s heart skipped a beat at the revelation of Eli’s words but she still stood stiff “you wanted Tony by all means and that’s why you were ready to slot your way to get him.” Quinn looked at Eli after her last statement. Her expression was both mixed up with fury shame and hurt but Eli dammed her with a stare and continued “right from day one, you never ceased to be the rich brat that was always bent on getting what she wanted…”


“Eli stop it” Alex finally spoke up 


“No I won’t… she deserves to hear the truth. We have all been putting up with you and your arrogance most especially me. You always claim to know it all, push yourself into places you are never invited, you always want that center attention in every single thing you do….


“Eli it’s enough” Tim interrupted her but she didn’t bulge


“You are too selfish to think about other people’s feelings, too ignorant about what others do for you because you feel it’s a right and you deserve it. Well I am done keeping up with you.” Quinn’s tears had already found more escape streaming down her cheek “You see this guilt you are feeling right now, you deserve all of it because of your greediness, you feel you can always get what you want in life because you were born with a silver spoon…? Well it will choke you one day”


“ELIZABETH!!!” 


Eli startled at Tony’s thunderous call. She had turned her gaze towards him in fear noticing him on his feet, suppressing his anger with his clenched fist. Quinn had darted out of the Centre in tears. 


Eli had finally realized the gravitation of the words and stunt she just pulled out as Tony dragged her outside the Centre holding her wrist



“Leave me alone!!!” Eli retorted her hand from his grip a distance away from the Centre

“What is your problem?” Tony snapped


“Are you seriously asking me such a useless question?”


“Why would you say such things to Quinn?”


“Don’t you dare try to defend her right now, don’t you dare Tony”


Eli’s warm tears resumed their duty on her cheeks melting Tony’s heart to calmness unknowing to her. Even if she just unleashed her mean side, she hated herself for her actions towards Quinn


“Lil, Quinn did nothing. I’m the one at fault, I don’t know what came over me that day I swear. I… I was so hurt after you sent me away when I came over to your place.” Tony consistently stuttered when he couldn’t figure out how to say the words from his mouth “I thought I saw you Lil and I kissed her mistaken,  but nothing more happened believe me.” Eli was flabbergasted at his words. The thought of hallucination from Tony was absurd but still it softened her pain that she couldn’t explain why. “I would never do anything to hurt you. I know it might not make any sense to you right now but believe me when I say I love you and you alone”


Eli’s tears took the best of her as she had no response to Tony’s words. Tony drew her into his arms in a tight embrace. He could hear her muttering some words


“I didn’t mean to… I don’t know what came over me. I’m sorry”


Tony patted her hair trying to calm her down


“…I just miss her so much” her tears became hysterical as she tighten her grip on Tony to let her emotions loose


He heard her mutter her last sentence. His heart dropped with guilt and pain. He knew she was still in pain. At the time when she needed her friends the most, they all bounced on her. She couldn’t moan her mother’s death well enough because she was busy acting strong and independent. He knew her words where directed to her mum, all the pain she felt was all channeled towards Quinn alone. Tony felt disgusted at himself for causing her this much pain.

 BONUS EPISODE ONE "THE STORY" BY UMORU PRAISE Dr. Badmus paced through his office to and fro all night. His fright and fear obviously got the best of him. Although the weather forecast was presented to be really cold that night, but Dr. Badmus lab coat reek of sweat.  The golden brown dried up sweat,  on his lab coat,  that laid on the chair,  formed a wobbling necklace round the collar and downwards. He unbuttoned his T-shirt as his collapsed on the sofa in an attempt to grasp a breath of fresh air, but all that pierced through his skin was a splash of hot guilt and fear “How could I let this happen!” he yelled at himself letting his fingers go through his fairly grown hair in frustration.
